Summer Internship Program Offers High School Students an Opportunity to Earn Community Service Hours While Giving Back to Pet Families

At Santa Clarita Pet Cremation and San Fernando Valley Pet Cremation, we believe compassion and service can make a lasting difference. This summer, we're proud to offer our Summer Internship Program, providing local high school students with an opportunity to earn community service hours while helping honor beloved pets and support families during a difficult time.

Serving families throughout Santa Clarita, Valencia, Newhall, Saugus, Canyon Country, Castaic, Stevenson Ranch, Granada Hills, Northridge, Porter Ranch, Chatsworth, and the greater San Fernando Valley, our team is committed to providing dignified pet aftercare with love, respect, and compassion.

A Meaningful Summer Volunteer Opportunity

Our internship program is designed for students who want to give back to their community, learn valuable life skills, and make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

• Earn community service hours
• Assist with memorial keepsakes and paw prints
• Help prepare urns and remembrance packages
• Learn about pet memorialization and compassionate aftercare
• Support families honoring the lives of their beloved companions
• Develop teamwork, communication, and organizational skills

Special Educational Presentation by a Veterinarian

Students will also hear from a special guest veterinarian who will discuss end-of-life care, quality-of-life decisions, and euthanasia. This educational presentation helps students better understand the importance of compassion and support during one of the most difficult times pet families face.

Teaching Compassion Through Service

Every paw print, memorial keepsake, and urn prepared represents a cherished family member. Our Summer Internship Program teaches students that even the smallest acts of kindness can bring comfort and healing to others.

Whether students are animal lovers, looking to fulfill volunteer requirements, or simply searching for a meaningful summer experience, this program provides an opportunity to serve the community while learning the importance of empathy and compassion.
